Freedom and Justice Party demands to postpone constitutional amendment consultations

Party for Freedom and Justice, led by Mouhamad Said, called upon the power to expand the circle of political consultations on the Constitution’s revision, to include all actors in society, regardless of their legal status, in reference to the dissolved Islamic Salvation Front Party.
National Bureau of Freedom and Justice Party said in a statement, that expanding the circle of consultations to all actors regardless of their legal status, is in line with the spirit of national reconciliation, and was included in proposals for discussion within the national constants.
Party of Mohamed Said decides to make the success of the constitutional review through a broader achievement of the national consensus, even if it is necessary before the split of the political class, to postpone the date of starting consultations a few weeks, as the work in such decisive case with the basis of “dialogue with those who attended”, whatever the degree of their real representation is inconsistent with the meaning of compatibility, as the crisis of confidence between the government and large parts of the political forces may worsen, and therefore it may weaken according to the national cohesion that is necessary to counter threats against the country.”
Regime’s Party warned of the consequences of underestimating the dynamic that is emerging in the street about the existing political and social turmoil, highlighting that Algeria avoided in 2011 the wave of Arab regimes’ collapse, and this does not mean it will not happen today at any moment, because the causes exist, calling for the need to accelerate the change, which it considered inevitable and imposed by the level of development of society and the requirements of modernity, in order to save the country from potential prospects.
Same source decided to participate in the political consultations that will be launched by Ahmed Ouyahia on June the 1st, calling Ouyahia to provide explanations on how to organize these consultations, in order to determine the form of participation, on the grounds that the form helps to understand the goals and reveal the intentions that are underlying behind them.
it considered the consultations another opportunity to test the degree of the power’s absorption of the dimensions of violent regional transformations, and its willingness not to repeat what it’s like the previous initiatives that the events showed that they were driven by the will to gain time, which led to emptying the principle of peaceful transfer of power from its content, stressing that the power is in front of an opportunity that may not renewed to deal positively with the expectations of the community to prove its good will in facilitating the completion of the desired peaceful change.
