Gaid Salah: “Algeria Is An Impregnable Fortress Forever”

Army Corps General, Deputy Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army (ANP), Ahmed Gaid Salah, said that the modernization of the main body of the Algerian armed forces constitutes a “permanent concern so as to fulfill the requirements of factors of force and deterrence,” in line with the instructions of the President of the Republic, the Supreme head of the Armed forces and minister of national Defense, Mr Abdelaziz Bouteflika, for the smooth achievement of the development and modernization plan, pertaining among others to the country’s Naval Forces.

General Gaid Salah took the floor at the occasion of the supervision of the docking of the Corvette “El Fateh”, at the headquarters of the Naval Forces’ Command in the Admiralty in Algiers, where he proceeded to the inauguration and inspection of this brand-new warship endowed with the latest sophisticated technologies in the field of the Navy.

“This vessel is “able to operate and act in a wide operating range for versatile missions. It will bolster our naval forces as part of the modernization of its fleet, which will contribute to the defense potential and to the optimization and development of the ANP’s main body”, he underscored. 

General Gaid Salah added that: “We believe that this force is now within reach with the acquisition of such reliable warships with advanced technology and with proven combat characteristics and also staffed with highly qualified executives, exercising in our naval forces, who control the operation of this equipment and these latest equipment and are attuned to the greatness of the constitutional missions assigned to our valourous armed forces.”

“And with the help of Allah God, the Almighty, we will permeate the spirit of victory in the hearts and souls of  these sons, so that Algeria will remain in their hearts, and that its walls will remain impregnable forever with the blessings of Allah the Almighty,” General Gaid Salah emphasized.
