Gaid Salah: “ANP Army Will Duly Protect Algeria From Any Internal Or External Threat”

Army Corps General and Army Chief of Staff, Ahmed Gaid Saleh stated Tuesday that “the National People’s Army (ANP) will continue to protect Algeria from any internal or foreign threat”.

“The ANP Army,” he said, “is fully aware, in accordance with the great tasks devolved upon it, of the imperious need of strengthening its  combat capacities and the means of keeping Algeria safe in the present and in the future from any threat be it external or internal, and will remain fully committed to that purpose”.
According to the Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army, the armed forces “will diligently persevere in the pursuit of their constitutional duties, including unceasingly pursuing efforts to weed out the remnants of terrorism and to bolster the ongoing efforts meant to preserve the territorial integrity and unity of Algeria by making it a safe haven”.
