Algiers gendarmerie services seized more than 1,800.000 pills of outdated and unregistered “Viagra” that were imported from China, as the members of the network who have warehouses for storage sold them in several Algiers neighbourhoods and in the neighbouring cities.
Gendarmerie services seized a large amount of cosmetics, especially the “keratin” that is directed for hairdressers.
According to the information that is provided by the citizens to the elements of the Gendarmerie platoon of Bab Djedid, there are suspicious business activities in several parts of Algiers in the field of wholesale and retail trade, and also in the field of exporting and importing foreign-made products.
As a result of that, investigation opened into the case by a platoon of research, and after in-depth investigations in several municipalities of Algiers, especially in the area of Kherrouba, Hussein Dey, El Harrache, Baraki and Cherria, and the gendarmes investigators tracked the movement of activists in the field of import, starting from the port of Algiers, and based on the investigations they identified the place of unloading and storing in one of the warehouses with tracking the movements of the owner.
After the legal proceedings, the research gendarmerie platoon was able, in coordination with elements of the National Gendarmerie of Cheraria, to discover significant quantities of goods and products, and sent samples to the National Institute of Criminal Evidence and Criminology of Gendarmerie in Bouchaoui and other laboratories, and after the issuance of expertise reports, they show that these drugs is not registered by the Health Ministry, and were not subject to medical control, and they are pharmaceutical products that enter within the sexual stimulants that are made in several countries, mostly from China.
These pharmaceuticals are sexual stimulants of multiple types including tablets that are sold at the price of 2,000 ZDZ per unit in Algiers.
