The inquiry has revealed that the cooperative’s mangers have resorted to change the legal status arguing pretending that they have been granted the permission to do so from the labor ministry.

This move was designed to turn a non profit association to business one that generates money through industrial and commercial activities.

The General finance inspectorate has revealed that the cooperative had endorsed a plan to create several production and commercial units in the clothing and carpentry sectors in various provinces of the country like Tlemcen, Oum Al Bouaki and Algiers.

The GFI assessment has revealed that the managers’ illegal activities have caused financial losses to the cooperative worth 1.05 billion ADZ.
