The 4 goalkeepers selected by national team coach, Rabah Saâdane, are being subjected to hard training by the technical staff as part of the ongoing training camp of the Greens of Algeria at the Swiss resort of Crans Montana in preparation for the 2010 World cup football tournament in South Africa.
-
The 4 goalkeepers including Lounès Gaouaoui, Fawzi Chaouchi, Lamine Zemmamouche and Ouahab Mboulhi are involved in various training sessions to test their capacities and potentialities.
-
According to the Greens’ medical staff, the 4 of them are in a good health condition after being subjected to a through check-up.
-
Fawzi Chaouchi who was suffering from a backache has now recovered and is feeling hale and hearty, according to the medical staff.
-
The goalkeepers’ coach Hassen Belhadji has scheduled several harsh training sessions for the 4 of them including aerobic and gymnastics sessions to make them able to face up to any contingency in the upcoming World cup matches.
-
It should be noted that one out of the 4 selected goalkeepers will be dropped from the list after the Ireland-Algeria friendly match scheduled for May 28th in Dublin as the FIFA regulations allow only 3 goalkeepers in every squad’s final roster during the forthcoming World cup football competition which is due to kick off on June 11th 2010.
