GSPC adopts new strategy for recruitment
The Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC) based in northern Algeria and Tizi Ouzou’s forests started circulating brochures among people urging them to support the terrorist group, Echorouk has learnt.
-
The brochures are transmitted to terror support cells to put them between Quran book pages in a number of mosques in the area.
-
-
The brochures contain a 20-year-old man’s photo named Ramadan Abu Al Modafer next to a submachine gun. It calls for joining the GSPC. It was written on: ‘Our people, answer Allah’s call and believe in it.”
-
-
Another photo is displayed showing the same man wearing a green turban and hiding in a trench among small trees using a Kalashnikov. A long letter addressed by the terrorist group inviting people to join it.
-
-
The brochures are sealed by the GSPC’s information committee. The edition house is mentioned as well.

The same sources say counter-terrorism forces opened deepen investigations in the issue to identify who made those brochures.
