GSPC recruited girls to perpetuate suicide bomb attacks

GSPC recruited girls to perpetuate suicide bomb attacks

Security services have intensified checkpoints in entrance to Algiers, using explosives detection devices, to anticipate any potential attack of the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC).

  • Security sources revealed to Echorouk that this security reinforcement has been decided following investigation carried out with a recently dismantled support network to terror groups affiliated to GSPC lead by Abdelmalek Droudkel, alias Abu Musab Abdelouadoud.
  •  The dismantled network used to supply GSPC with vital information on the movements of different security services.
  • Investigators concluded that the terror network had also recruited new elements, including girls, to perpetuate suicide bomb attacks with explosive belts which had been fabricated in secret ateliers.
  •  On another side, the Army forces are still carrying out a combing operation after the terror attack on a military campsite in the village of Tighzirt, in Tizi Ouzou province.
  • The Army forces have managed eliminating 8 terrorists and dismantling a number of hand-made bombs planted in the sides of the road where the terror attack had been perpetuated, while the terrorist dead bodies have been transferred to the morgue of Tizi Ouzou Hospital.
