Businessman Ali Haddad Thursday said rules and regulations of the Enterprises Chiefs’ Forum prohibits exercising politics or working for a political party. This comes in responses to allegations that he is interested in politics and sympathizes with a strong party in the national scene.

Haddad told Algerian and foreign businessmen remarks about his intention to join a party or to head a ministry are no more than a “bubble.”

He added that private sector has all the development characteristics, saying it represents 80 percent of manpower.

He stressed the necessity of seeking other revenues and alternatives to diversify national economy which used to mainly rely on energy.

The Forum’s provincial coordinator said banks will drop the guarantee condition which was imposed on investors. Banks will also be integrated as shareholders in economic exchange.

Investors welcomes Algeria’s new constitution including Article 39 which would end monopoly and lift restrictions on investors, according to them.
