Hannachi: “JS Kabylie have virtually qualified for second round of African Champions' League”
The top Manager of the Algerian first – division squad of JS Kabylie, Mohand Cherif Hannachi, and two of the team players namely Aoudia and Naili paid yesterday a courtesy visit to the premises of the newspaper Echorouk in upper Algiers with the aim of warmly thanking “Echorouk” on behalf of all the JSK supporters for the sustained backing brought by our newspaper for their cherished club and for many other football outfits across Algeria as part of the promotion of the practice of sport and its professionalisation here in our country.

During a free-wheeling and convivial discussion with the managers and the reporters of Echorouk, Mohand Cherif Hannachi said that yesterday’s victory achieved by JS Kabylie over El Ahly of Egypt in Tizi Ouzou stadium was for him “the most important one” during all his tenure as chairman of the JS Kabylie club.

He also expressed satisfaction at the smooth running of this hot fixture in Tizi Ouzou stadium despite the very tense atmosphere surrounding this explosive African champions’ league confrontation and its effects on the 2 rival teams for the rest of the competition as far as qualification is concerned.

Mohand Cherif Hannachi also said proudly that his players had been quite up to the mark and succeeded in holding at bay the seasoned Ahly players throughout the match.

He further pointed out that this one-nil highly meritorious victory wrenched by JS Kabylie over the indomitable Egypt’s El Ahly squad with flying colours had virtually allowed his team to secure a berth in the semi-final of the prestigious African champion’s league football contest to the delight of the entire Algerian people.
