Hanoune against Parliament dissolution
Leader of Workers’ Party Louisa Hanoune critisized the Democratic Transition Conference for not having popular support, saying non one can allege to be the spokesman for people.
« Political debate did not create a leap and popular dynamics have not started yet. The majority are afraid of a new experience which may lead to a desaster. People are caressless about what his happening in the political scene. It is natural as it always happens after elections, » Hanoune said in a meeting in Algiers.
« The political debate will have a popular dimension only if it starts from correct understanding of the majority’s expectations. People want to take a break from pressure and tension they were living shortly before the presidential elections, » she added.
She believes that the call for a transition stage will lead to wars and terrorism.
Speaking about legislative elections, she said it’s not the time to hold anticipated elections.
« If we were in better conditions, we would have called for anticipated legislative elections before the constitutional amendment. »
