Health: First death due to”Corona virus” announced Western Algeria

Victim’s family in Sabra the news of his death at around 10 pm on Monday by the hospital management of Tlemcen, a news which came down as a thunderbolt to the victim’s family, especially his mother, 82, who revealed to Echorouk sources, that she had a nervous breakdown after hearing the news and was also taken to Sabra and Tlemcen Hospital.

Corona virus victim is a former cop and father of five orphan kids, and was performing Umrah accompanied by his elderly mother, as he suffered a severe cold and high fever, which was not detected by doctors in Sabra Hospital in Tlemcen (Western Algeria), only after a full week of returning from the Hajj, as he went to Maghnia hospital, and it was found that he was carrying Corona virus, before being transferred quickly to an isolated room at the services of Infectious Diseases in the University Hospital of Tlemcen.

Deceased stayed about 11 days in the same hospital before all medical ways failed to rescue him the from danger and he died by this serious disease. 

Information that was received by Echorouk from an official medical source confirmed that the victim was subjected to dangerous inflammation and swelling, at the level of the lungs, resulting in the destruction of many functions in his body, which obstructed the blood flow to the brain, and he died on Monday evening, as his funeral took place immediately after the administrative procedures, as Echorouk learned that the hospital noticed a large presence of his friends and colleagues of the police as soon as they heard the news of his death.
