Health minister: no Zika virus case reported in Algeria

Algerian health minister Abdelmalek Boudiaf Thursday said no Zika vius case was reported in Algeria as it raised panic in a number of countries in the world.

“Health departments took all the necessary measures to prevent the disease,” the minister told a national radio channel.

The World Health Organization (WHO) said a number of travellers hit by the virus entered Europe. That would rise its spread by Spring and Summer as temperature rises.

The Organization called on all the countries to have control on the disease by eliminating mosquitos behind the virus.
