High prices destroy the purchasing power of Algerians
Citizens found themselves in a real dilemma, after the costs of school start exhausted their shoulders, in addition to the rising prices of fruits and vegetables, which makes workers with limited income live in conflict between their weak wages that does not cover the needs of their families, like food and living necessities.
Echorouk visited markets and remarked the sadness of citizens who returned back to their homes with empty pauses.
Anger and indignation among citizens recently in markets, as after the school start consumed half the family budget, now comes the high prices of fruits and vegetables, before the sheep of Eid will destroy the budget that wad hit by many costs since the start of September.
Prices of potato, which is the best vegetable for Algerians, ranges between 60 and 65 DZD, while the price of onions reaches 50 DZD.
Despite we are in summer which noticed a high production of tomato, but its price is very high compared to its seasonal price, as a kilogram reaches 80 DZD, zucchini and carrots 70 DZD, red beans 300 DZD and green beans 170 DZD.
