Housing: 19,000 Algerian families live in T1 apartments

Housing Ministry’s latest report shows that Algeria counts 18853 apartments with one room, while the ministerial department of Abdelmadjid Tebboune, decided to allow the owners of these apartments to benefit from houses without the constraint of the national housing card, to keep their chances to take advantage of one of the residential formulas that are adopted by government, as it decided to change the character of exploiting this part of the residential barn to a commercial nature.

According to a recent report that was received by the Housing Ministry, Algeria counts almost 19,000 one room apartments. 
It is a final count of this category of houses in the entire cities of the country, depending on the resolution which had been signed by the Minister of Housing and the city, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, a few days ago, and then was sent as a correspondence that reached the National Fund of Housing, ordering this service, in accordance with the decision that was signed to drop the names of the owners of T1 apartments from the constraint of the National Housing Card, in a move to approve the principle of equality in opportunities among the beneficiaries of an T1 apartment and the rest of the citizens.

According to information available to Echorouk, the category of citizens of who live in “T1” apartments can apply for new houses, as committees that are specialized in studying the social situation, and the type of residential formulas serviced that they are available to families in concordance to the level of their monthly income, before the ratification of the files’ acceptance, as the citizen remains the only beneficiary of the new housing.
