News from various Libyan cities that are adjacent to the Algerian borders, reveal on a catastrophic situation for the population
Cities of Ghat, Berket, fiout, and Aouinet, that are located in the southwest, adjacent to the Algerian soil, are living hard times, due to the failure of electricity power since more than two weeks, after armed groups cut the voltage of power that provides the region with electricity.
According to the news there, this caused the inactivity of all devices that function with power, including the water machines and health institutions, where patients with chronic diseases and elderly people are suffering due to the lack of medicinesans health services.
Hospitals in Algerian cities like Djanet, Debdab and Illizi and even in the north, showed support and assistance before the closure of Algerian Libyan borders at Dabdab and Tinkom crossings in southern .
This miserable situation led to the rise of prices of kids milk to 1000 zdz, and insecurity that was result of clashes between cities led to a large scarcity in food products like kids milk and fuel.
Inhabitants of Tinkom border region said a number of citizens and nobles are helping the population of these cities through coordinating with Algerian authorities to send food, medicines and kids milk, calling upon the humanitarian bodies and Algerian Red Crescent to move and face this hard situation of the Libyan southwestern regions.
