Hundreds of students protest in Algiers

Hundreds of students gather out of Algiers University here on Monday trying to organize a march from the central post towards the government palace, but were prevented by security services.

Students’ protests were organized by the Independent National Coordination of Students that demands the realization of multiple promises by the Education Ministry to solve the social and pedagogical problems of universities.

The protests were controlled by security services without any incidents and violence within the university and its environs APS said, while AFP reproted that at least 20 students injured quoting the Algerian League of Human Rights.
