Imams call for allocating Fitr Zakat for Gaza
Friday prayer’s speech in all mosques of the country dealt with the Israeli attacks on Gaza in the holy month of compassion and peace Ramadan.
Some Imams told Echorouk that they received an instruction from the Religious Affairs’ Ministry to allocate the subject of their speech for the war and attacks against Gaza, calling for the allocation of a Zakat fund for Palestinians who live under the brutal Zionist bombings.
Inspector of religious and Koranic guidance in Draria, Mohamed Salim, welcomed on Friday, the idea of allocating a Zakat fund for Gaza during the month of compassion Ramadan.
“I do not refuse the idea, it would be amazing if the Religious Affairs Ministry will ask mosques, imams and the religious parties to collect aid”.
Concerning Zakat El Fitr, Mohamed Salim, explained that Zakat El Fitr in the Sharia is allocated for the needy, but it is allowed to grant it to the most needy, situation in Gaza needs a stand by all Muslims of the Arab countries to help victims of the Israeli attacks from kids and widows, but the Zakat fund was approved by the Algerian government since two years.
Imam of Hamza Mosque in Bab Zouar (Algiers), said the Israeli attacks against Gaza in Ramadan, calls the Arab countries to take every necessary measures through aid and political efforts to solve the crisis, and put an end to destruction in our Muslim brothers’ country.
“I agree the idea of allocating a Zakat fund for Gada citizens. We as Imams wait for the decision of the concerned party on the subject. When the idea was adopted by the Religious Affairs Ministry, we decided to start collecting humanitarian aid and allocating funds for collecting money money for Zakat el Fitr. Friday prayer’s speech dealt with a subject of coordinating Arab and muslims’ efforts to help victims of the Israeli bombing on Gaza.
