Interior Ministry to create the Municipality Cop posts in Algiers
Development of Algiers to the level of the countries’ capitals requires the creation of a special law to ensure the return of its lost fame, because the current division can not in any case keep pace with its development, which will be coupled with the municipality police draft, the body that was opened on to study at the table of the Interior Ministry, which would bring additional revenue to the municipality and organized it with the manner that is known for years since the Independence Day “Cop of the municipality”, Mayor of Central Algiers, Abdelhakim Bettache said in an exclusive interview with Echorouk.
“In application to the PM instructions through the Joint Ministerial Council meeting that was held recently in Algiers, which is the second of its kind since the independence, it is time to revive the capital, which situation worsened clearly through the application of urgent programs,including the establishment of an institution with a commercial and industrial nature for the conduct of cemeteries and cleaning them after they noticed a disastrous situation, then the reconsideration of public lighting and following all the works that are carried out by Sonelgaz“.
“Mayors of municipalities have legal force to resort to justice, if necessary to prosecute institutions in the case of breaching the duty of initialization after the works. Potential that is offered by the state to the nation’s capital could save it from the darkness if the matter will be accompanied by putting the right man in the right place, as indicated by the prime minister during the last meeting, and the project of the Municipality Police was applied in the past, immediately after independence. Municipal Law is endorsing the judicial police of the municipality,and represent the body that is currently under study at the table for the committee at the Interior Ministry, that will be applied soon on the capital as a start, then it will be circulated to the rest of the States in the future.”
