Investment with foreigners : 51-49 percent rule to be maintained

ALGIERS- Minister of Industry, SME and Investment Promotion investment Mohamed Benmeradi said Sunday the general rule of 51-49 percent governing investment with foreign operators was still in force.

“At no time have we said that the rule of 51-49 percent, which guarantees an Algerian majority in partnership projects with foreigners, was abandoned as reported by some newspapers,” Benmeradi told APS on the sidelines of the works of the Algerian-Vietnamese joint cooperation commission.
