Italian tourist kidnapped in Algeria

An Italian tourist was kidnapped Wednesday in the area of Djanet in the Algerian desert, Echorouk has learnt.

  Maria, 53, entered Algeria on January 20^th and she was supposed to return home on February 20^th, said the same sources.

  Security forces were notified of the abduction by a tourism guide. He said the kidnappers went to Niger. Since then, there has been no information.

  The kidnappers are likely to belong to terrorist groups which work in southern borders next to the Sahel to kidnap foreign nationals.
