Kabylie region safe, RCD party says
Regional office of the Rally for Culture and Democracy called upon Tizi Ouzou citizens, on Saturday, to unite and stand in one line away from political differences, in order to fight against terrorism and forms of extremism that noticed a dangerous rise in the region, especially after the French national assassination by a group that attributed himself to Daesh.
RCD renewed its call to the civil and military authorities to help population of villages by arming them and activating the civil defense, and encourage youth to join the municipality guards’ ranks, through ensuring all their social rights until retirement, in order to combat terrorist groups in the Kabylie region.
Some citizens spoke about the oldest political parties in the Kabylie region, saying; “Blood should end in the region, whatever its dimension and harming citizens or foreign nationals, refusing to make of the region a scene for interpretations and analysis of politicians, and objectives of terrorist groups as well.
On the other hand, mayor Haroune, who belongs to RCD party, said in a statement on Friday; “Assassination of the French Herve Gourdel is a brutal act that makes everyone sad in the Kabylie region. Best efforts should be done in the region to hand over the criminals to justice and combat terrorism in the region. Kabylie population should be careful of terrorism, throughout helping security services and report about any suspected person and take him/her to gendarmerie or National Security Services, in order to restore stability and security to the region of Tizi Ouzou (eastern Algiers).
