Karim Djoudi : Algeria eyes broader partnership with US firms
Finance Minister Karim Djoudi expressed here on Wednesday Algerian authorities’ willingness to get further involved with US firms in the implementation of the country's economic policy.
Speaking at the opening of the Algerian-US Business Council, Djoudi pointed out that the economic policy adopted by the State aims mainly at “living up to the expectations of the domestic development.”
“We wish that this policy will be implemented in partnership with US economic operators,” the minister declared, inviting these operators to benefit from the different ongoing measures, which aims at encouraging investment.
In this respect, Djoudi underlined that the programme of huge public investments for the next five years, and for which a budget of DZD 286 billion has been allocated, is the continuity of the two previous plans launched since 2001 with a view to supporting the development of a production economy and improving the living standards of the population.
