Kerbadj: we can not keep silent over the Federation’s attitude

The president of the Professional League Mahfoud Kerbadj expressed dissatisfaction over the sports minister Hadi Ould Ali’s remarks about a conflict between the League and the Algerian Football Federation.

“What is happening does not serve neither football nor the professional championship. Until Tuesday, we did not talk about anything. What would the League’s role be if they wanted to deprive it of all its prerogatives?” Kerbadj told Echorouk.

“Is it believable that we do not response?” he added.

The League’s boards of directors is supposed to hold a meeting to come up with new decisions to stop the interference of the Algerian Football Federation’s president Khireddine Zatchi.

A conflict between Kerbadj and Zatchi has been triggered since Zatch was elected as the president of the Algerian Football Federation in March.

Earlier, sports minister Ould Ali criticized Kerbadj, saying he should respect the Algerian Football Federation’s instructions in service of football in Algeria.
