Kuwait embassy in Algeria holds exceptional celebration on national

Kuwait's embassy in Algeria held an exceptional reception ceremony on the occasion of Kuwait's 50th anniversary of Independence Day, 20th anniversary of Liberation Day and the 5th anniversary of His Highness the Amir's assumption of power.

The reception was attended by Minister of War Veterans (Moujahidine) Mohammad Cherif Abbas, a number of Algerian senior officials, former ministers, ambassadors of Arab and western countries as well as media and cultural figures.

Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Kuwait’s ambassador to Algeria Soud Faisal Al-Diwaish sent his deepest congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on these national celebrations.

He lauded the level of freedom, democracy and development reached by the collective efforts of the Kuwaiti society, noting the Kuwait is moving towards a phase of further prosperity and stability.

On his part, Algerian Minister Mohammad Cherif Abbas congratulated, on behalf of his government, the Kuwaiti leadership and people on these national celebrations, stressing the deep-rooted ties that brought the two countries together in the past few years.
