Labour, Employment and Social Security Minister, Mohamed Ghazi, orders his services to put an end to the circumvent of the oil companies, with respect to the employment of workers in Illizi (Southern Algeria).

He described these companies as corporate to law, because they adopt impossible conditions in the employment offers that are presented at the employment agency.

“For example asking for providing a certificate in English for jobs in landscaping, is unacceptable, since these companies employ workers from outside the province, or their relatives, because jobless youth do not have these conditions.”

During the visit, which led Ghazi to Illizi Province (southern Algeria), he confirmed the need for effective employment of jobless, and accompanying them until the actual hiring, in order to maintain the credibility of the employment agency in general, so that it is not enough to give a guidance statement to jobless youth, and send it to the receiving institution, as some of them go to oil companies, which sometimes even refuse to receive them.

“Role of the labour inspectorate is important, in order to end these irresponsible acts by oil companies. I understand the anger of youth over the employment agencies, because of the lack of fair distribution of job offers on the various employment offices in municipalities”.

Illizi Employment Manager, confirmed that a measure was developed in this regard, which is to put a copy of the offer to work at the Office of the Governor, and a copy at the labour inspector’s office, as a proactive measure to avoid such problems in the future.

He also received explanations about the new intermediate system, and how to handle job applications for  jobless as well.
