Maghrebin Islamic parties call on government to « purify » political climate

Islamic parties from the Arab Maghreb called on governments to « purify » political climate and lift obstacles to reach communication between Maghrebin peoples.

Morocco’s Justice and Development, Tunisia’s Nahda, Mauritania’s Tawassol and Libya’s Justice and Construction parties met in the last two days in Algeria upon an invitation from the MSP party.

In their final communiqué, they condemned all the forms of violence, extremism, exclusion, discrimination and hate. They called for peace, dialogue, reconciliation and tolerance culture. 

They also call for reinforcing and protecting freedoms, enhancing Maghrebin identity and encouraging experiences exchange.

A charter on cooperation and coordination between Maghrebin moderate parties will be released. It will include visions, objectives and cooperation fields. The parties will hold an annual meeting in a Maghrebin country.
