Mahdi Mostafa to Echorouk: “I will show a good performance during the coming matches”

Algerian international defender Mahdi Mostafa expresses happiness after receiving a call from the coach Abdelhak Benchikha to participate in the coming training camp of the Desert Warriors in anticipation to the friendly match against Tunisia on February 9.

 Nimes Club right back asserted that he will show a good performance during the match against the Tunisian team.

Echorouk: What did you feel when you received a call by Benchikha to participate in the training camp scheduled from 7 to 10 February?

Mahdi Mostafa: I was very happy because it is the second invitation to play for the Algerian team after the first I received to play against Luxemburg.

Echorouk: Did you expect any invitation from Benchikha?

Mahdi Mostafa: I was very optimistic, especially after the good talk by Benchikha following the friendly match against Luxemburg. He expressed satisfaction regarding my performance in the match, although I did not show all my capacities, because I was a little bit disturbed for it was the first time I play for the Algerian team.

Echorouk: You will play for the first time in Algeria wearing the Desert Warriors’ shirt. Are you scared?

Mahdi Mostafa: On the contrary, I am very proud and eager to join Algeria to play in front of Algerians fans.

Echorouk: The match against Tunisia to be hosted in Algiers 5 July stadium. Do you have any idea about fans in the capital considered the most hard in the country?

Mahdi Mostafa: Playing in this stadium is amazing because it is very encouraging. I heard a lot about Algiers fans and I am eager to participate in the match against Tunisia.

Echorouk: How can you describe this match which is the last test for the Desert Warriors before the important confrontation against Morocco on March 27?

Mahdi Mostafa: The match against Tunisia is very important; this is why we have to win because it will encourage us to win against Morocco.

Echorouk: Tell us about the match against Morocco?

Mahdi Mostafa: We should not think about it now in order to avoid pressures. There is a friendly match against Tunisia and we will do our best to show a good performance and win in order to raise our morale.

Echorouk: Everyone thinks that the Desert Warriors chances became few in the CAN playoffs after an unsuccessful beginning. What could you say about it?

Mahdi Mostafa: I think we have others chances to qualify and football is full of surprises. We still have four matches to play.
