Maj. Gen. Abdelghani Hamel Calls For Strengthening Security Efforts To Combat Crime In Africa

Maj. Gen. Abdelghani Hamel, head of the AFRIPOL and the General Manger of Algeria National Security, met on Friday with the Police Chiefs Of Africa’s Eastern Countries, who are participating in the 19th Annual Meeting of the Police Chiefs Committee For Africa’s Eastern Countries, that is held in Kampala, Uganda, from September, 13 to 15, 2017.

During these meetings, which brought together the Major General, Abdelghani Hamel, with the police chiefs of Africa’s Eastern countries, like the representative of the Zambian police chief, he said that the African organization will work to strengthen the joint security efforts of law enforcement agencies in Africa in the fight against organized transnational crime in all its forms, through overseeing the sharing and exchange of information and benefiting from the experience and expertise of police organizations in Africa.

Hamel also attended a part of the meeting of Africa’s Eastern Countries Police Chiefs’ Committee, and he heard interventions by police leaders who are participating in the meeting.
