Algeria is determined and certain to continue the journey to develop and modernize army and upgrade its defensive abilities, and to maintain Algeria’s sovereignty, pride, stability and development, National Defence deputy and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Guaid Saleh said, in a speech on the eve of 60th celebration of Algeria Revolution Day, which out broke against French colonialism on November, 1st, 1954.
Development and modernization of the military institution devotes ambitions of the Algerian people, which is loyal to its principles and values of its blessed predecessors.
“Maintaining these values and strengthening these gains, necessarily requires from all military personnel in every field of work and the limits of powers, to continue vigilance in order to combat everything that would prejudice the security and stability of Algeria.”
“Values of revolution are solid fundamentals and a source of strength for members of the National People’s Army, which is scion of the Liberation Army.
“Revolution is the main nucleus for the creation of independence and ensuring internal stability after Algeria returned strongly to international events. Coexistence between the men of revolution and the generation of independence enhances the process of brotherhood between the two generations and strengthens elements of firm patriotism for youth and in the mind of the Algerian people.”
” National People’s Army completed the message of November, by addressing every harassment against external aggressions and terrorist groups, and will always be on the lookout for those enemies.”
“More efforts and sacrifice should be made for the security of Algeria and stability of the country. Algeria has a distinctive military force, that gave all efforts to bring the state out of the difficult security crises. I urge everyone to make more efforts and redouble vigilance, particularly in this period, which is characterized by an atmosphere of insecurity in our immediate neighbourhood, to ensure tightening our borders and eliminate the remnants of terrorists, and liberate our country from danger”, in clear reference to the deterioration of the security situation in Libya, Tunisia, and Mali and the reflection of these conditions on the security and stability of Algeria.
