Maj. Gen. Guaid Saleh: “Algeria's Unity is Stronger than Terrorist Threats”

Terrorist threats to the territorial integrity of Algeria is too weak to affect it with any harm, and it will find its armed forces always on the lookout, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Guaid Saleh, National Defence Deputy Minister, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army said.
Ahmed Guaid Saleh, added in a speech during a visit, on Wednesday, to the Fifth military region, that was followed by members of all units through the technique of teleconferencing; “We say this, and we are deeply convinced, that no matter how intense the shameful terrorist threats in the near and distant surroundings, they are, in the view of Algeria’s loyal sons, yes faithful, just debilitated and too weak to reach Algeria and afflict any harm or offend its territorial unity.”
“This bunch of criminals should know acutely that the armed forces will always perform its national duty, relying on Allah, asking for his help, and facing any emergency and mobilized with all their energies, and harnessing all capabilities, to sacrifice for the country and people, and show loyalty to the values of November and its timeless goal.”
Maj. Gen. Gaid Saleh recalled the proactive procedures that are taken by the army leadership to secure the border, in order to deal with any emergency and the various threats, saying, “Our Armed Forces launched, since years ago, a massive operation to secure all our national borders, especially the South East and the South in particular, and even in the water territories, where we deploy appropriate capacities that are capable to face any emergency whatever the threats, knowing all the perception that if the national Liberation Army was completely responsible and faithful for retrieving the independence of Algeria, and grab the national sovereignty from the clutches of the French colonial power, then the armed troops’ responsibility, is the preservation of this precious gain and insistence to maintain it, as this great and heavy responsibility but I know that you are going to take it and show good performance while reaching its objective.”
“This is a merit that makes armed troops at the forefront of Algeria defenders and protectors of the Republican character, and adherents to the performance of constitutional duties, and nothing can derive them from being ready to sacrifice, in order to defend the supreme interests of the nation, ensure its future, protect its national sovereignty and provide reasons of its security and strengthen its national defence, and that is the evidence that they are real sons and faithful to their ancestors.”
This visit is a continuation of a series of inspection and field visits to various military regions, which is aiming to realize direct contact with individuals and field follow-up of projects that are programmed in the diagram of developing forces, and follow up the extent of implementing the preparative fight programs, during which the Maj. Gen. Guaid Saleh met with Gen. Ammar Athamnia, fifth military region’s commander, and officials and representatives of various security sectors, where he renewed the importance of this meeting, which comes in the context of the intense care that is given by the high command for the armed forces’ fight preparation.
