Malek Haddad library of Constantine to reopen in March

CONSTANTINE (Algeria)- Malek Haddad Library of Constantine will reopen on March 13, Djamel Foughali Director of Culture said.

This structure on the top floor of the Mohamed Laid Al Khalifa House of Culture, at the heart of the city, is the subject of extensive rehabilitation operation decided by the government, said the same official.

Founded in 1987, this library which attracted many students of final exam classes and university students as well as researchers, was closed late in 2004 due to restoration works.

The nature and complexity of the restoration work required extra time and a reassessment of the initial budget (AP) Foughali said, explaining the delay in the completion of the rehabilitation project.
