Mansouri, Saifi and Chaouchi excluded from Algeria team

Algeria coach decided to exclude Yazid Mansouri, Rafik Saifi and Fawzi Chaouchi from the forthcoming training ahead of a friendly match against Gabon due to be held on August 11th in the 5 Juillet stadium in Algiers.

• Abdelmalek Ziaya, Mohamed Lamine Zamamouche and Si Mohamed Sidric were called in to attend the training, the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) said on its website.

• “The national team will conduct a preparatory training due to be held between August 8th and 12th ahead of a match against Gabon,” said the FAF.

• It did not mention the place of the training.

• Sources said goalkeeper Chaouchi was excluded for discipline-related reasons.

• Earlier, Echorouk reported that Chaouchi would not play for the national team any more directly after the World Cup. The FAF’s officials and the technical staff decided in his case after he had an undisciplined behaviour.
