French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, is expected to bring with him, during his upcoming visit to Algeria, on April 9, dozens of Algerians investors with dual nationality, to discuss 32 projects, as the focus will be on cars and mechanical handling sector, especially since France wants to acquire its largest share in Algeria, after the signing of the second car factory contract by Peugeot.

Vice President of Industry and Trade Chamber, Riad Amor, told Echorouk that the French authorities want to preserve its share in the Algerian market, in light of the fierce competition which it faced with a large number of countries.

“Visit of the French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, on April 9, falls within this framework, and will also include the visit of Algerian investors with dual nationality, in the framework of French-Algerian Industry and Trade Chamber, in order to discuss 32 projects, including four projects that won approval and which means of implementation will be discussed as well.”

“It is about an IT project and another one that is linked to youth employment by the “mobile refrigerator” for the first time in the Algerian market, through the granting of cooling trucks cooling for unemployed youth, and the distribution of bread and sandwiches to factories, that are subject to heat, with the interest rate. This project will be granted for a group of Algerians who are living in France and a French businessman, in addition to other projects that were discussed recently in Telemcen (western Algeria), and which is expected to be launched during the French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, visit to Algeria”.

“There is a large program to develop the economic partnership between Algeria and France, and it will be put through the Senior Inter-Governmental Committee’s works, and it comes primarily to the projects of mechanics and cars’ handling sector. After the French industry market entered to Algeria via the Renault factory, and the futur signing of Peugeot factory, during the visit of Valls to Algeria, there will also be a discussion of ways of tenure on an important partnership projects in the field of handling and spare parts, and looking for Algerians to implement joint projects in this context, knowing that this sector is still “bachelor” in Algeria and is waiting for broad prospects”.
