MBC’s star Radia Salah opens her heart to Echorok

Her easygoing manners made of her one of the most talented presenters of the Arab satellite channels, MBC’s Radia Salah held a degree in Political Sciences from the university of Algiers before starting her professional career in the printing press then moving to the Hilton hotel here in Algiers.

• She was fond of presenting news since her childhood when she used to gather her brothers and neighbors to imitate her role models as if she was on a TV set. Radia Salah flew to Dubai in 2003 to apply for a job at the MBC group; there she passed the oral and written exams with flying colors.

• She reached stardom in 2006 when she was in charge of covering the World Cup competition in Germany. This experience was a landmark in her fresh career displaying her skills overseas and tearing down the prejudices that the Algerians are not able to talk the Arab language properly.

• As to her beginning at MBC she declared” It’s very hard for anyone to o leave his country and family especially that I’m a girl, flying 7 hours to Dubai towards the unknown a man would get lost, so what about A woman?. But as time went by I merged into the group and I’m leading a family like life now at MBC with my second family in the program “ Stadiums’ echoes”.

• Replying to a question over her relationship with her parents, she said” my father is the eyes with which I see life… We are originally from the province of Souk Ahrass ( eastern Algeria) and moved to the popular compound of Bach Djerrah, Algiers; I cannot imagine myself going to my bed without kissing my father’s forehead and mother’s eyes… I got eleven brothers like planets and my father is the sun and mother is the moon”.

• As to her trip to South Africa Radia Salah added “ What moved me is the Algerian fans’ attitude who maybe some of them sold their properties for the Greens and others who contracted debts to support the Greens.. I know many of them who suffered in the South African jungles penniless”.
