Algerian Foreign Minister Mourad Medelci highlighted, on Friday, in New York, Algeria’s commitment to support steps for stability in Sudan.

  • “In line with the joint action of the African Union and the Arab League, Algeria commits to pursue its support to steps aiming at strengthening stability in Sudan, because the conflict had for long time important impact beyond its borders,” the minister said.

  • The declaration was made by the Algerian foreign minister at the summit devoted to Sudan, organized on sidelines of the 65th session of the UN General Assembly, in the presence of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, US President Barack Obama, as well as many heads of State and foreign ministers (Russia, Turkey, South-Africa, Libya, China, Canada, India…).
