Meghni to Echorouk: “My participation against Ivory Coast is not confirmedâ€
Algeria international Mourad Meghni expressed his displeasure because of the severe injuries he suffered since a few days and which prevent him from playing except for a few minutes during the first round of Africa Cup Angola.

Meghni told Echorouk that after the end of the training session on last Wednesday he was not able to continue work with his team mates because he felt pain at his knee; “I could not train with my team mates because I felt pain in my knee preferring to leave the training session because if I continued injuries will increase, as my participation against Ivory Coast is not yet confirmed. I’ll be subjected to a last examination then things will be clear, however, I think I will not play with my team tomorrow”.

Despite he seemed pessimistic about his participation in the quarter-final tomorrow, Meghni expressed great optimism about the qualification of the Desert Warriors to the semi-finals; “We have a strong squad and we can win over any team, tomorrow our chances will be equal before Ivory Coast, as we have the spirit of the group that can make the difference in any time of the match”.

As for the disastrous status of Cabinda’s stadium he says; “It is a real obstacle that may cause a problem. Now we know the atmospheres in Angola and nothing will prevent us from wining, I only wish it will be our day, because the task would not be easy”.
