Military Industry: ANP Army Starts Delivery Of 380 Mercedes-Benz Vehicles

A total of 380 Mercedes Benz trucks and all-purpose vehicles were delivered on Monday by Rouiba’s Algerian Motors Services-Mercedes-Benz (SPA AMS-MB) to the Department of National Defense’s Central Materiel Branch (DND) as well as to several public and private economic enterprises.

This delivered batch includes 282 trucks and 98 commercial vehicles (city buses, vans …) manufactured by the Algerian Society for the Production of Heavy Trucks Mercedes-Benz (SAPPL-MB) located in Rouiba (eastern Algiers) and the Algerian Society for the manufacture of vehicles of Mercedes-Benz brand (SAFAV-MB) located in Tiaret province (western Algeria).

To this end, a delivery protocol has been signed between the SPA AMS-MB and its various customers, namely the Central Directorate of Equipment of DND, the Urban and Suburban Transport Company of Algiers (ETUSA), the National Company for. marketing and distribution of petroleum products (Naftal), in addition to the Airport Services Management Establishments (EGSA of Algiers) and that of Oran (EGSA Oran), as well as two private Companies, namely “Moulins El Baraka” (Biskra) and “Cipro” (Algiers).

As a recall, three Companies with joint capital were created in July 2012 as part of the implementation of Algerian-Emirati-German agreement protocols for the development of the national mechanical industry.
