Ministry of Telecommunications to develop Internet services

Terms for Internet Providers are almost completed, Head of the Council for Regulating Posts and Telecommunications Ms. Zahara Dardouri said here on Sunday.

 “Authorities of control think realization of the process is supposed to be implemented during the preparation of terms to frame the activity of providing internet. Authorities ensured delivery of licenses for providing internet”, she added.

“We are currently working on the formation of qualified staff in the field of providing internet and prepare a regulatory framework in order to secure systems and information. We should not accelerate the creation of a regulation that may preclude the achievement of specific goals, at the same time it is necessary to establish an effective and quick body to regulate the process of providing internet”, she explained.

“Authority of control seeks to develop a legal and regulatory framework on internet certification to be submitted to public authorities. Many procedures are under study for the integration of internet certification in the economic system which depends not only on the institution in charge of this activity.”

“It is necessary for Algeria to adapt with the international standards in the area of ratification, but it takes much time and it is complex therefore it should pass through several stages”.

Development of insurance services such as internet certification appears necessary since the interactions on the net are made through an open network that puts the user in front of a number of risks like identity theft and interception of messages by other people and terminating a contract of sale or payment of exchanging.
