Modern technologies to promote tourism in Algeria

The ministry of Tourism yesterday signed an agreement with the ministry of Post and Technologies of Information and Communication to use internet payment solutions.

   Speaking to reporters in Algiers, Smail Mimoun, minister of Tourism has stressed the necessity to facilitate and modernize financial transactions with a view to make Algeria more attractive for Algerian and foreign tourists.

   Cash payment is a major inconvenience for tourists visiting Algeria as it is no longer used in most countries.

  The agreement is designed to facilitate and modernize service payments for tourists and operators by using electronic methods and new technologies.
