Monthly Salaries Of Algerian Civil Servants, The Lowest In The Arab World
The average monthly salary of civil servants in 16 Arab countries is set at about 1,202 dollars, while the total monthly salary in 16 Arab countries reached 19,234 dollars, according to data and figures collected by the “Arab.Net” Website.
The Website said that with the trend of international and Arab institutions to reduce costs and rationalize the cost of operations, because of the current constraining economic situation, the average monthly salary of the employee in 16 Arab countries is estimated at around 1,202 dollars per month.
Algeria ranked 13th with an average monthly salary of about $ 293 per month, followed by Tunisia with a monthly salary of about $ 285 per month.
The Gulf countries occupied the highest salary rankings, making them more welcoming to expatriate workers.
The United Arab Emirates topped the roster with a salary of $ 3,235 per month, followed in second place by Qatar and then Kuwait with $ 1,906 per month, Bahrain with $ 1,748 per month and Saudi Arabia with $ 1,725 per month.
In spite of the woeful events and lingering conflict in Libya, the latter came in sixth place with an average monthly income of about 1,713 dollars per month.
This is followed by more than 10 Arab countries where the salary of the employee does not exceed the salary of the employee in Libya itself.
In seventh spot, the Sultanate of Oman was listed with an average monthly salary of about $ 1,686 per employee, followed by Lebanon with an average monthly salary of about $ 1,009 per month.
Eight countries registered an average monthly salary of less than $ 1,000 per month. Palestine was at the forefront of these countries with an average monthly salary of about $ 698. Syria was at the bottom of the list in 16th place with an average monthly salary of about $ 100.
But Iraq came in tenth place despite the instability that has been going on for years in this country, where the average salary of the employee is set at about 663 dollars per month.
