The services of the foreign affairs’ ministerial department have wisely taken the necessary measures to avert a scenario of Jewish figures, known for their loyalty to Israel, entering the national territory through the gates of the Algeria-Africa Investment and business Forum, notably by cancelling at the last minute the invitation extended to Morocco after the dispatch by Moroccan King Mohamed VI, of his Jewish adviser, namely, Andre Azoulay, to take part in this major forum held in Algiers.

The salutary move was designed to ward off a recurrence the serious incident caused by the entry into Algerian soil of an Israeli  journalist during a visit by French Prime Minister Manuel Valls last April under the cover of French nationality.

Informed sources revealed to “Echorouk” that cancellations of a number of invitations to personalities and organizations supposed to attend the Algiers’ Investment Forum had been notified over the past three days, including the barring of delegates from the Kingdom of Morocco who were to be headed by Moroccan King’s Jewish adviser, Andre Azoulay, known for his friendship with Israel, in addition to the cancellation of the invitation extended to the heads of the French Employers’ Organization “MEDEF”, under the pretext that the list of invitees was filled up as the Algiers forum witnessed the influx of more than 2,000 delegates from Africa and other parts of the world.

The same sources added that the foreign ministry services’ decision to screen beforehand the status and backgrounds of the invitees to this mega Forum of Algiers was meant to preclude any damaging consequences and to avoid adverse interpretations which could be detrimental to the brand-image of Algeria and its diplomacy.
