Mujahidine Minister Tayeb Zitouni: “No Coincidence In Politics”

The Minister of Mujahidine or war veterans, Mr. Tayeb Zitouni, commented Tuesday on the stampede which occurred in front of the French Cultural Center in central Algiers by saying that “there is no coincidence in politics” as this coincided with the planned celebration by Algeria of the glorious November Revolution.

“There are two positive and negative sides in the case,” Mr Tayeb Zitouni was quoted as saying on Tuesday by the national radio station’s “Guest of the Morning” program.

“I say what the Algerians say and I am one of those who do not believe in coincidence in politics, because the event occurred during preparations for the lofty November Revolution celebrations and we witness at the same time an advertisement for the competition organized by the French cultural center in Algiers,” he said.

According to Mr. Zitouni, the positive side in this case is that the Algerians are open to the outside world in the field of science and knowledge because the matter concerns a cultural center, and one should not doubt the patriotism of those Algerian youth who took part in the center’s competition.
