Municipality guards’ file returned to the fore, as the National Syndicate of Free Municipality Guards decided to organize mass protests on August 25 and 26, to be followed by a national protest in front of the press house, Taher Jaout, in the capital Algiers, to create the National Observatory for the Defense of Memory and the Municipality Guards’ Rights.

NSFMG said in a statement, which copy is available to Echorouk, that after the meeting of the National Movement Bureau, regional committees and representatives for Municipality Guards, it was decided to follow the demands on Friday and Saturday on the outskirts of the capital (Beraki), as the movement denounces and condemns the actions that were taken in the file of municipality guards by the Interior Ministry because they just emptied the real content of the file.
“Fabricated Committee decided to continue the dialogue and to defend the rights of the municipality guards who suffered a fiasco, after they accepted the orders of the ministry which exploited it in some media that do not serve the aspirations of the municipality guards who have lost confidence in the Syndicate for the defense of the legitimate rights.”
