Myanmar Authorities Expel MP Hassen Oribi, Activist Rachid Nekkaz

Algeria MP Hassan Oreibi and activist Rachid Nekkaz said on Friday that Myanmar authorities stopped their visit to the Arakan province in solidarity with the Rohingya Muslims at the level of Burma airport and asked them to leave.

“The Buddhist authorities in Myanmar practices piracy on our humanitarian convoy to our Muslim brothers Rohingya in Burma and we will retain our right to international judicial follow-up”, Hassane Oreibi said on his Facebook page.

According to him, the Myanmar authorities decided to deport Nekkaz to Malaysia, while he is waiting for permission to enter Bangladesh after obtaining a visa.

For his part, Nekkaz said he would hold a protest in front of the Algerian embassy in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday after being expelled from Burma.
