National Gendarmerie Commander orders to protect borders from terrorists and smugglers

General Menad Nouba, the Commander of the National Gendarmerie ordered all his units to fight illegal immigration which represents a danger on Algeria. He stressed the importance of continuing facing smugglers, terrorists and organized criminals.

In a meeting with security senior officers as part of his visit to Tamenrasser, General Nouba gave instructions to ensure the safety of borders, people and institutions in the south. He also stressed the necessity of stepping up operational coordination with the army’s units in terms of information exchange.

The Gendarmerie’s Commander listened to presentations about actions carried out by the juridical police and public security.

He gave instructions to units commanders in the region to secure borders against any attempt to hit the Algerian national territory and enterprises in the south.
