National Service Recruits To Join Their Specialties In Barracks

National Service Directorate will soon begin to integrate each young person by specialization during the period of national service.

This procedure aims to provide experience for university graduates and training institutes for jobless, or to continue to work in the same position for workers.

Official sources told Echorouk that the National Service Directorate of the Ministry of National Defense presented the final draft at the table of the Maj. Gen. Ahmed Gaid Saleh, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the National Popular Army, in order to allow the integration of national service recruits in their specialization, training and abilities during the period of national service.

In detail, the project is a comprehensive study that will enable recruits to perform their national service, as they wish, which will help them continue their careers as if they are outside the national service centers for staff on the one hand and on the other hand, it will allow graduates from universities and training institutes who have directly joined the national service, to acquire experience that enables them to practice their work after completion of the service.

According to the same source, the new procedure of the National Service Directorate will allow recruits to continue their specialties or training within the barracks.

“For example, if the young man is graduated in automated media, he will be directed to his specialization, and the person who is graduated in the science of information and communication will be directed to the departments of communication with various services and directorates of the army and barracks”.

“The same applies to the disciplines of mechanics and repairs, pedagogy, medicine and other disciplines, and this includes those who have completed their higher education “university graduates” or those who have been trained in centers and institutes of vocational training, and those who have been called when being in their positions or even jobless”.

“The new project comes within the framework of the strategy that is adopted by the Ministry of National Defense to achieve professionalism for the benefit of youth and better care of their concerns and approach more from citizens, as part of the endeavor that is initiated by the Ministry of National Defense to modernize and develop the structures of the National People’s Army, specifically for national service, to consider their legal framework and the redeployment of their structures”.

It is known that the Directorate of National Service has already approved procedures for those in charge of recruitment duties who have a level of study that does not exceed the sixth year of primary, as they can benefit during the period of service from a training that enables them to obtain scientific and training certificates that let them free from illiteracy and help them to enter the world of work.
