New ambassador to Algeria appointed

TEHRAN – Former Foreign Ministry spokesman Mahmoud Mohammadi has been appointed as Tehran’s new ambassador to Algiers.

Mohammadi had also served as Iran’s ambassador to Tunisia.

Mohammadi also served as the chairman of the Majlis foreign relations committee when he represented the people of Abadeh in parliament (2004-2008).
