Industry and Mines Minister, Abdessaalame Bouchouareb, denied any ambitions in the succession of Prime Minister, Abdelmalek Sellal, at the head of the government.
“This post would be an honour but i’m not dreaming to become PM and I’m happy of being the Industry Minister. Since my childhood my dream was to achieve several projects, the first is the cave of Djebilat, for the extraction of phosphates, which Algeria aspires to realize it as a new source of income after oil prices’ collapse.”
Although he did not mention the name of Louisa Hanoune, but he fought in politics and called her implicitly and alluded to stop speaking, by accusing him of selling the country and the French preference in investment projects, responding; “Even the drought that is experienced by Algeria is due to Boushouarebe.
“We know these people’s path, but the Prime Minister’s post is not my dream and I want to uncover them today in front of the citizens, because we do not prefer to negotiate with the French, but everyone, Turkey, the UAE, Qatar, Germany, and China.”
“I challenge that one company is carrying a French capital since I came to the Ministry of Industry. We have political than economic relationships with France, and we are looking for partners and not those who impose themselves on us, so that the partnership with foreigners will stop in case of violating laws.”
The Minister of Industry and Mines said during El Moudjahid newspaper forum in the capital, that Algeria is negotiating to introduce new cars’ brands after Renault and Peugeot, which will chose its floor in Oran next week, with the entry of new brands soon as Fiat, Iveco, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Nissan, as well as an Iranian partner which he did not mention.
“Cars’ import bill decreased by 2.595 billion dollars. The distribution of cars’ quotas on dealers will take place during next week’s meeting. I do not play with concessionaires, distribution of quotas will be subject to the conditions’ book.”
