New remuneration system in effect for municipality guards

The government has yesterday formally released the new system of remuneration in favour of 94 thousand municipality guards that includes bonuses increase at a rate of 45% in addition to 30 % of monthly performance bonus.

• The executive decree 192-11 stipulates that the municipality guards will receive their bonuses backdated to January 2008 ranging between 35 to 45% depending on the scales of the guards.

• In the line of these new pay rises, the salary of municipality guard will move from 16. 370 DZD to 19.000 DZD while the first grade chief will get 20.000 DZD per month as opposed to 21.000 DZD for the second grade chief.
